I want to be a robot when I grow up

New site layout is in PHP. Not any different to look at, but a lot easier to update.

Penguinomicon now runs Debian. Because it’s better.

Maybe I’ll put up some interesting news stories in the corner now.
Maybe I should just go to sleep.

I’m small,
like a superball.
Throw me at the wall—I’m fragile,
Like an eggshell;
I’m mad as hell.

It used to be I wished Arnold would win for governor of California only so that people would be able to see how ridiculous the system turns out to be. Thank God href=”http://www.etherzone.com/2003/bish070203.shtml”>we don’t live in a democracy. Kinda scary that he’s now one of the more viable options. How long until people realize that the American populace is unfit to rule any country, much less a superpower….

Listening to The Black Mages right
now. Good stuff.

I’m going to put up a trove of all the great goodies I find online. Stuff like All Your Base, Yatta, and William Shatner’s Rocket Man. Maybe the href=”http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=03/09/07/1227259&mode=thread&tid=101&tid=133&tid=186&tid=188&tid=97”>Star
Wars Kid. You know, the classics. There should be a compendium because I am tired of having to look it up in all different places all over the web.

When I was a freshman at Biola, I made a horse with some friends. Take a look!

In closing, here’s a good flash site.

The Creation of Indonesia

Once upon a time in the kingdom of Heaven, God was missing for six days.
Eventually, Michael the Archangel found him, resting on the seventh day.
He asked God, “Where have you been ?”

God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction and proudly pointed downwards
through the clouds, “Look, Michael. Look what I’ve made.”
Archangel Michael looked puzzled and said, “What is it ?”
“It’s a planet”, replied God, “and I’ve put Life on it.”
“I’m going to call it Earth and it’s going to be a great place of balance.”
“Balance ?” inquired Michael, still confused.

God explained, pointing to different parts of earth.
“For example, northern Europe will be a place of great opportunity and
wealth, but cold and harsh while southern Europe is going to be poor but
sunny and pleasant. I have made some lands abundant in water and other
lands parched deserts. This one will be extremely hot, while this one will
be very cold and covered in ice.”
The Archangel, impressed by God’s work, then pointed to a group of islands
and said, “What are those ?”

“Ah”, said God. “That’s Indonesia, the most glorious place on earth. There
are beautiful beaches, rivers, mountains and forests. The people from
Indonesia are going to be handsome, modest, intelligent and humorous and
they are going to be found traveling the world. They will be extremely
sociable, hardworking and high achieving, and they will be known throughout
the world as carriers of peace and love.”
Michael gasped in wonder and admiration but then proclaimed,
“What about balance, God ? You said there would be balance.”
God replied wisely, “Wait until you see the idiots I put in the
government.”

Bahamut Lagoon is up!

Funny ocurrance: today’s the first time I’ve gotten my name into the Chimes, Biola’s newspaper. I was pretty happy about that, and I showed it off to my girlfriend, who promptly showed me in turn that she was featured on the front page. Irony. I got a pull quote from me though, so it counts for extra. Whatever.

Arthurian literature is really cool. Unfortunately today I learned that there is very little historically dependable evidence that a king named Arthur really lived. Boo. Only 3 known documents even refer to him, and they can’t even agree on him. While that was a disappointing thing to learn, he is nonetheless a great legend.

Sigh… I wish I were British. What do we blasted Americans have as our great legend? Paul Bunyan? Oh, or how about Johnny Appleseed. w00t. And don’t even get me started on the whole tea thing.

In closing, a song about Darth Maul.

Wow

So it’s been a long time…. There’s still a lot to do on the site, but my life has caught up to me. School starting, getting a job, people around… I can probably put up Bahamut Lagoon soon, depending on how easy it is to read HFS in Linux. My photos might go up soon, but I have to get my camera connected…. so many things to do, so many more worthwhile things to do.

In closing, here’s how to shrink heads, and a gallery of shrunken heads.

“And there was white…”

I decided yesterday that my laptop should be white. So now, thanks to Liquid Paper™, it is.
