Dear Aubrey Ellen,

Last night you were born. You weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz. and were 19 inches long. You are the most beautiful baby. Kelly and Jason (mom and dad to you) are the happiest of parents. They will bring you up to know that they will always love you, and that you have a Heavenly Father who loves and cares for you too.

Phil and I were blessed to go visit you last night in the hospital. Your mom looked absolutely amazing having just had 13 hours of labor that day. And she looked so happy and content. You have blessed your parent’s lives more than you can ever know. When we got there, you were asleep in your mother’s arms and seemed to enjoy the cuddling. You are extremely strong. You would wiggle occasionally and even lift your head to find a more comfortable position.

Aubrey, I want you to know that you are loved. Your family will always be around to help you. They will teach you to love Jesus and to be a godly woman. Life is not easy, but you will learn a lot. You will have choices that you will have to make, but if you keep your eyes on God and follow the example of your parents, you will do well.
