Hello, folks!
Well, we’ve made it back to the US. We had an entirely unexpected stop in Hong Kong (neglecting to notice that our tickets mentioned “one stop” between Jakarta and Taipei) and an unlooked-for delay in LAX. For the last three times I’ve been in LAX, I’ve breathed a sigh of relief, thinking to myself, “well, at least this is my last time here; I will never have to come back to this, the worst international airport.” After three times you would think I’d know better–it keeps drawing me back in to mock me. I wonder if it isn’t time to make a solemn vow.
Anyway, we’re back and settling in again in Oceanside. Alisha’s getting hit hard by the jetlag, but it hasn’t affected me. Presumably this is because I was unable to sleep more than a couple half-hour chunks during the 28 hours that our travel took and put all my temporal disorientation behind me in the air. Mixed blessing. It’s good to be back, but I’ll definitely miss it. We stayed with some really great folks and felt that our time there was quite fruitful.
The next task then is to figure out where to go from here. We’d appreciate prayer as this is a big decision.

Hey Phil-
It was great to read about your trip to Indonesa. I’m heading there for the summer to preach at a church and get to know the people there. It’s a pretty similar trip (big picture wise) as your trip to Indonesia. I’m glad it went well and you enjoyed your visit.
We’ll pray for clarity and direction for you guys. Hopefully we will see you at Christmas in Seattle. I’m excited to meet Alicia.
blessings,
Kyle and Courtney.
