Hello patient readers!

So Alisha and I got back from a scouting trip to the Seattle area earlier this week. We’ve decided that we’re heading up there and not to Indonesia straight away, but we’ll post more on that later. Indonesia is still an option down the road, but we’re going to be in Seattle for a while.

We found an apartment in the city of Shoreline that we really like. It’s called Ballinger Commons. We looked at several different places, but the thing that really sealed the deal for us was how extensively wooded the property is. The whole area is surrounded by trees, and there’s a huge area in the middle of the complex that is just forest interlaced with nature trails.

Above is a shot of the unit we’ll be living in. Right now we’re still down in Oceanside as I’ve got to finish up a deadline for a project at work. Our stuff is all still in storage in La Habra; we plan on getting that over into a moving unit on the 18th. (If you can help, let me know!) It feels like our plans keep getting pushed off more and more, so it’s exciting to finally see concrete things in place. We’ve put money down on the place, so we’re committed.
