flying on a jet plane

Considering that both of his parents had taken multiple flights before the age of one, we felt compelled to give our son the same opportunity. So, this last weekend, we took Noah on his very first airplane ride to go visit the Bay Area to meet his Great-Grandparents, Great-Aunt, and “Uncle” Lem. He was amazing. He missed all of the great scenery out of the windows, but we were happy that he was content just to sleep for the entire trip there and back again.
Lem picked us up from the airport and graciously took us to Hercules to where we would be staying with our family. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to spend a lot of time with him, but it was still wonderful to see him. Also, tragically, we didn’t get any pictures while we were with him! Of all people! Lem, you failed us! =)
We had a great time with Alisha’s family as well. It was fun to show Noah off to them, and we discovered that he loves ceiling fans and Great-Grandma’s piano playing. He calmed right down whenever those were around. Here are some great photos of our trip:

Sorry for taking Lem away from you guys. Lem’s is such a good uncle, that he drove all the way back to our place for Caleb’s birthday party.
Taking Noah on flights NOW is a great idea. (We took Caleb to Europe when he was 6 months, and it was much easier than we were expecting) It’s much worse of an idea between the ages of 1 and 2!
It was great to see you guys that weekend. Noah is one cute kid! Also, seeing you two as “Mommy and Daddy” was fun and weird and cool.
