Teething is a pain.  It hurts.  Badly.  And it’s not just baby that’s affected.  Everyone feels it with the lack of sleep and aching backs since he doesn’t hardly want to be put down.  Extra cuddles is a necessity.  But, he has something to show for it.  His second tooth came in this morning.  Hopefully, the worst is behind us.

Here’s a picture from yesterday. You can see the one tooth, and the second one just about to come in.

First Tooth

Since he now has teeth, I’m trying to make sure that I give him some solid food every day.  Sometimes, he loves it and will eat the entire amount in about ten minutes.  Other days, we have a conversation that goes something like this:

Alisha: Noah say “AAHHH”
Noah (smiling): “Mmmmmm”
A: No, no, you need to open your mouth.  Like this, “AHHHH”
N: “Mmmmmmm”

At this point I usually try to make him laugh so his mouth opens up so I can stick some food into it in hopes that he’ll like it and want more.  This doesn’t usually happen so we forego the food to another time.

In closing, here’s a picture of one of our most recent endeavors:
